SoCal is the largest, and most active, chapter of the Steamship Historical Society of America (SSHSA): the premier organization for all engine-powered ships.
If you are a ship buff, maritime collector, or artist, former or current ship crew member, historian, or Navy veteran, SSHSA-SoCal is the place for you!
SoCal members meet up onboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California at least four times a year: the first Saturday of February, May, August, and November. (We even take field trips.)
Our November gathering is also our annual membership meeting where we elect the SoCal Chapter Board.
Enjoy our speakers, make new friends, complete your collection with our finds table. All are welcome!
If you have a topic you'd like to present to our membership, we'd love to hear it!
